How much does hipages cost for roofers in 2026?

hipages plans run from $139 to $649 a month plus GST, paid in lead credits. Here is how the pricing works for roofers and how to work out your real cost per job.

Shoaib RamzanFounder, LeadKites Updated 7 min read 5 sources checked

As of October 2026, hipages' core plans for tradies cost $139, $249, $449 or $649 a month plus GST, and each plan includes a monthly allowance of lead credits. Every job shows its own credit price, and up to three businesses can claim each lead. Your real cost is the monthly fee divided by the jobs you actually win, so track wins, not leads.

How does hipages pricing work?

There are three parts to what you pay.

  1. The monthly plan. You choose a tier. Higher tiers include more credits.
  2. Lead credits. Each job posted by a homeowner shows a credit price. When you claim it, the credits come off your balance. hipages' own results presentation says "up to 3 businesses can successfully claim a lead" (hipages Group FY26 results).
  3. Add-ons. In July 2026 hipages added a "Review management plus" add-on from $49 a month plus GST (PricingSaaS). If you run out of credits you can buy more.

hipages does not charge a commission on the job value. You pay to be in the running, not when you win.

At company level, hipages' FY26 results reported average subscription revenue per business of $2,475 for the year, up 9%, across 36,400 subscribing businesses (hipages Group FY26 results). That is an average across all trades, not a roofing figure, but it gives a sense of what a typical subscriber spends.

How much does one hipages lead cost a roofer?

hipages does not publish a fixed dollar price per lead. The credit price depends on the job, so the cost of a roofing lead changes with job type, location and demand.

You can work out your own number in two minutes. Here is an example using the Advanced plan:

Step Example figure
Monthly plan $249 + GST
Credits included 310
Cost per credit about $0.80
Credits on a typical roofing lead (your app shows this) say 45
Cost of that lead about $36 + GST

This is an example only. Use the credit prices you actually see in your app. Then do the step most tradies skip:

Cost per job won = total hipages spend ÷ jobs won from hipages

If you spent $2,988 in a year on the Advanced plan and won six jobs from it, each job cost you about $498 to win. Whether that is good depends on your job values and margins.

Run your own numbers here. Everything comes from what you type in:

Cost per job won

$498

Yearly spend: $2,988 (ex GST)

That's 8.3% of the $36,000 those jobs brought in.

What about contracts and cancelling?

Read the contract term and renewal rules before you join. In May 2023 the ACCC announced that hipages had given a court-enforceable undertaking after admitting it likely breached the Australian Consumer Law by failing to adequately disclose automatic renewal and early termination terms between October 2018 and January 2022 (ACCC media release). The ACCC said hipages added email and SMS reminders before automatic renewals. The undertaking itself is on the ACCC register.

Who it suits / who it doesn't

hipages tends to suit roofers who:

  • Can answer or call back a new lead within minutes, because other businesses can claim the same job
  • Want a steady flow of enquiries while they build their own Google presence
  • Work in areas with plenty of jobs posted
  • Track cost per job won every month

It tends not to suit roofers who:

  • Are on the roof all day and can't respond quickly
  • Mainly want large, high-value jobs and don't want to compete on the same lead
  • Don't track which jobs came from where
  • Already have more enquiries than they follow up

If you are unsure, read is hipages worth it for roofers next. It walks through the break-even maths.

How to get more out of hipages if you stay

  1. Answer first. If three businesses can claim the same lead, the first useful reply often wins. A missed-call text-back helps when you can't pick up. See missed-call text-back.
  2. Be choosy. Only claim jobs in your service area and job types.
  3. Follow up every quote. Many quotes go quiet because nobody chases them. Our quote follow-up guide has a five-message routine.
  4. Ask for Google reviews too. A customer from hipages can also leave you a Google review, which helps your own profile.
  5. Review every quarter. Compare cost per job won with your other sources.

Where LeadKites fits

LeadKites sells a lead system to Australian roofers, so we compete for the same budget. We don't sell shared leads. We answer every enquiry within 60 seconds, follow up every quote and build your own channels on Google. Many roofers use both: a marketplace to keep the diary full and LeadKites to make sure every enquiry, from anywhere, gets answered and chased. Prices are on the pricing page: the Sprint is $497 one-off, Foundation is $397 a month plus $997 setup, all AUD with no GST charged. We don't promise a number of leads or jobs.

Frequently asked questions

How much is hipages per month for tradies?

As of October 2026, the core plans are Starter $139, Advanced $249, Premium $449 and Platinum $649 a month plus GST. There is also a lower Essentials tier and a custom Pro plan for larger businesses. Check your account for current prices.

Does hipages charge per lead?

Leads are paid with credits from your monthly allowance. Each job shows its own credit price, so the cost varies by job. There is no commission on the final job value.

How many tradies get the same hipages lead?

hipages says up to three businesses can claim a lead. That is why response speed matters so much on the platform.

Can I cancel hipages anytime?

That depends on your contract term and renewal date. Check the notice period and any early exit fee before you sign, and ask for them in writing. The ACCC took action in 2023 over how hipages disclosed renewal terms in earlier years.

Did hipages put its prices up in 2026?

Yes. Independent price tracking recorded increases to the core plans in July 2026, alongside small increases to included credits. For example, Starter went from $129 to $139 a month plus GST.
