hipages and ServiceSeeking both charge roofers a monthly fee, but they charge for different things. hipages plans include a monthly allowance of lead credits, and each job you claim uses credits. ServiceSeeking memberships include unlimited quotes with no pay-per-lead fees. Neither is better for every roofer. The right one is whichever gives you the lower cost per job won in your area, and you only find that out by tracking it.
We've written longer guides on each: hipages cost for roofers and ServiceSeeking for roofers. This page puts them side by side.

How does hipages charge roofers?
hipages has three parts to its cost: a monthly plan, lead credits included with the plan, and optional add-ons. After its July 2026 price change, independent price tracking lists the core plans as:
| Starter | $139 |
|---|---|
| Advanced | $249 |
| Premium | $449 |
| Platinum | $649 |

Starter includes 155 credits, Advanced 310, Premium 595 and Platinum 850 (PricingSaaS). Each job shows its own credit price, and hipages' FY26 results presentation says "up to 3 businesses can successfully claim a lead" (hipages Group FY26 results).

Check my real numbersHow does ServiceSeeking charge roofers?
ServiceSeeking describes its model as "Monthly Memberships with unlimited quotes. No pay per lead or commissions" (ServiceSeeking). A free listing puts you in its directory, but you can't contact customers without a paid plan (ServiceSeeking tradie guide).
ServiceSeeking doesn't publish a price list on its public pages. An independent review checked in August 2026 reports memberships from $129 a month including GST for most members, discounts of about 20% for quarterly and 40% for annual payment, and coverage tiers of roughly 10 km, 20 km and 50 km (WebBlend).
Which gets roofers more jobs?
Nobody can answer that for your area without your numbers, and we won't pretend otherwise. Two roofers in neighbouring suburbs can have very different results on the same platform. What decides it is:
- How much roofing work is posted in your area on each platform
- How fast you reply. On both, other businesses see the same job
- How you quote and follow up after the first contact
- The size of job you want. Small repairs and gutters are common on marketplaces; large restorations are often won through Google, referrals and neighbours
How to test hipages and ServiceSeeking fairly
If you're unsure, run a simple test and let the numbers decide.
- 1Pick a fixed periodThree months is long enough to smooth out a quiet or busy week.
- 2Log every enquiryPlatform, date, job type, suburb and how fast you replied.
- 3Log what happenedInspection booked? Quote sent? Won or lost? Job value?
- 4Add up the costFees, credits and any add-ons for each platform over the period.
- 5Divide cost by jobs wonThat's your cost per job won. Compare it with your average job value.

On renewals specifically: in May 2023 the ACCC announced that hipages had given a court-enforceable undertaking over how it disclosed automatic renewal and early termination terms in earlier years (ACCC). Reading the terms before you sign is good practice on any platform.
What about leads you don't have to share?
Both platforms send the same job to more than one business. That's not a flaw, it's how marketplaces work, but it does mean every job is a race and often a price comparison.
Alongside any marketplace, most established roofers build sources where the customer comes to them first:
- Google Business Profile. People who find you on the map are calling you, not posting a job for several businesses.
- A website that books inspections. Visitors who land on your page see only you.
- Reviews and referrals. A recommendation from a neighbour usually arrives with trust already built.
- The houses around every job. A flyer to the street you just worked on reaches homes with similar roofs.
- Old quotes. Customers who already know you, and may simply not have decided yet.
These take longer to build than signing up to a platform, but they don't charge you per job and they keep working when you stop paying. See Shared vs exclusive roofing leads for the trade-offs.
Where LeadKites fits
LeadKites doesn't sell leads and isn't a marketplace, so we're not competing with either platform for your subscription. We answer every enquiry within 60 seconds, whichever platform it comes from, book inspections and follow up quotes. We sell that service, so we have a stake in roofers replying faster. A free lead audit will show how fast your enquiries are answered today and where jobs slip.
Frequently asked questions
Is hipages or ServiceSeeking cheaper for roofers?
On sticker price they're close at entry level: hipages Starter is $139 a month plus GST and an independent review reports ServiceSeeking from $129 a month including GST for most members. What matters is cost per job won, which depends on your area, reply speed and the jobs you go for.
Does ServiceSeeking use credits like hipages?
No. ServiceSeeking memberships include unlimited quotes with no pay-per-lead fees. hipages plans include a monthly allowance of lead credits, and each job you claim costs credits.
How many roofers compete for each lead?
hipages says up to three businesses can claim a lead. ServiceSeeking sends jobs to multiple businesses but doesn't publish a fixed number.
Can I use hipages and ServiceSeeking at the same time?
Yes. Many tradies use more than one platform. Track enquiries, jobs won and costs separately for each so you can see which is paying back.
What's a better long-term option than lead apps?
Leads you own: a strong Google Business Profile, a website that books inspections, reviews, referrals and following up old quotes. See hipages alternatives for roofers.
